I’ve had a lot of authentic tacos before, and these are some of the best I’ve ever had. Barbacoa, Asada, lengua on corn shells with onions and cilantro. Yum the meat was tender and tasty. And the food came out pretty quick.

Best Food After Electric Forest! We stopped by Rico’s Tamales right after Electric Forest and were blown away. The tamales and barbacoa tacos were so good we literally came back the next morning for more—they were that unforgettable. This is truly authentic Mexican food—fresh, flavorful, and made with so much love. You can taste the tradition in every bite. On top of that, Fred, the owner, is incredibly friendly and hospitable. He welcomed us like family and made the whole experience even more special. It’s rare to find a spot that makes you feel this good and feeds you the best food ever.

The tamelas were incredible and very authentic. Great flavor and good value for the price. The mild red sauce packs a decent kick btw, especially for Michigan standards. The service was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stop again when passing through.

Easily the best food in Oceana!! Tamales are a must, but had the new option of a “molina” which was like a quesadilla but way better! Super quick service, grab and go tamales, and the owner is great!! Seriously recommend this place!

A coworker and I came through this little town if I'm within 25 miles of this place, I'm coming. This is the most authentic delicious made to order. It's clean Mexican restaurant I've ever been into. We travel the whole state and we eat everywhere and by far. This is one of the best places service, food and atmosphere. We've ever had.We will be back every time we're anywhere close..

AUTHENTIC DELICIOUS MEXICAN FOOD in a small town? Why yes, yes it is!!! Yippee! Happened upon this place and we are so glad we did! We are Hispanic & come from southern CA so we really tend to be critical of “midwestern Mexican” which isn’t Mexican at all. This place is delicious! We had beans, rice, and barbacoa tacos and they were all fabulous. Yum! TRY THE HOMEMADE HORCHATA!!!
